When conditions are Black, the ocean is in full roar. Tourist and Waterman must stand side-by-side in slack-jawed respect of the awesome power of Mother Nature. Everyone, even the World's best Big Wave surfers, are legally bound to remain onshore.

Except - for a select number of Big Wave Maniacs. P-Land and Devon's North Shore proved too good to let it pass by for this once in a lifetime experience.

Its the day before "British Summer Time" officially starts and yep - it's freezing cold, hacking it down with fridgid rain, and windy as hell. Lovely! Mind you Puts surfwise was gnarly - with clean faces (in between the massive closeout sets!). With a full 'man-flu' I paddled out with Roz, made it out all of about 30ft and kept geting washed in like an absolute kook!!! hmmmm...... :0(
