Surf Update: 5 June 2009
Well we've had a decent run of great weather and good clean surf recently. No pics unfortunately - should have taken some! Scored a mellow 3ft but solid groundswell at high tide Puts on 15th May - nice carveable walls. John, Jo, the kids (Erin & Stephen), Roz, Glen, Sarah and myself all there for a good fun day at the beach with a stone collecting and sand-castle making competition with the kids. Good fun.
Had a great 2 surf session day at Saunton with Roz on 23 May ..... perfect 2-3ft groundswell and hot sunny weather. Great day - and had a go on Roz's new 6'6" Magic Carpet ..... a good stick for those slow Saunton waves (5 hrs in the water and plenty of waves surfed). It's gone flat this weekend but still made a trip up to North Devon for a "beach day" - went kayak fishing out of Barracane Beach (1 garfish but no bass) and had a bit of a shopping spree blowing £120 on surf T shirts! :0)
In between surfs managed to fit in the 5km Michelmores Charity Run in Exeter on Tuesday - 136th / 1200 (22mins.55secs) - not bad and a fun evening afterwards with everyone at The Imperial ........ legs still a bit sore but well worth it.
