Watergate Bay (17 Oct 09) : NICE !!!!!!

A nice hot sunny day, quality 3ft clean swell, 16 second period, and crystal clear water at Watergate Bay. It's always worth putting in a few miles to Kernow to score a day like this.

The original plan was to surf Crantock but the swell just wasn't quite the right direction. Fistral was rammed with about 300 people in the water - so the decision was made to head over to Watergate where the waves generally tend to be a bigger, the "kook : real surfer" ratio is far far better and the water is crystal clear. Great fun. The right hander at the far west end of the bay was looking very good - with a handful of VERY good surfers on it. A good day !

Puts (10 Oct 09) : All a bit "average"

This was actually a really good day of surfing with 4 hrs in the water between Puts and Saunton - but the waves, as you can see, were all a bit 'average'.
