The Final Countdown !! ;0)
21 August 2011 - 'Putsborough'
What a great "last surf of my 30s" ..... it is now 20:08 on 23/8/2011 so I have just under 28 hours left until I reach the horrific age of 40. Just typing it makes me sad. However, I am still as fit as I was 15 years ago, and can definitely still hold my own in the surf thankfully....so "BRING IT ON" ;-)
I had a great surf at Putsborough in 2-3ft waves. The wind turned offshore and very light for about an hour from 9.30am and it was amazing fun.
So what's it gonna be from now on then ...... trade the 6'0" quad in for a mal? Buy a SUP? Use the 'retro' fad as an excuse to double my boards volume and width? Nah.....not on your life......got my eye on a tasty new McKee Quad (roundtail pin) with a tad 'less' width at 19 3/4 to my SLX Quad.
Here's to many many more years of surfing - to quote a cliche "Only a Surfer Knows the Feeling" ;0).
