First time out on the new board - 30 Sept 2011 (Puts)

This was a really fun long range groundswell on a 12 second period - and the new board was great - down the line speed fantastic.

Mark and I surfed until is was COMPLETELY dark ...........great fun. We spent half an hour surfing virtually blind ..... the waves were just shadows against the moonlight. Really fun.

After the session we headed off to The Thatch for a few beers (and food) and then into Barnstaple for more beers until 1:30am.

The next day (Sunday 1 Oct 2011) we got up at 5:40am (not much sleep!!) for the dawn patrol session at Marine Drive - again starting in darkness (!) ........after another 3 hr surf we had deserved a decent rest. ........... a great 2 days :0)
